As mentioned in my previous article, I am setting up a notification system for SkyWarn events.  I had asked that if you have a cellphone, pager or other device that you would like these notifications sent to, to please let me know.  I have, to date, recieved only a couple of responses.  I really need for all of you to let me know, not only what device you want the messages to go to, but I also need the following information:

The phone number of the device you want the messages sent to

The carrier (I.E., Sprint, Verizon, etc.)

Again, if you are interested in either NCS or Keystation or both

             If you are available for late night NCS/Keystation ops, please state so

I also want to try to separate Spotters and NCS into daytime and nighttime groups

             I know most of you are available for daytime spotting, but please let me know if you are

             also available for (late) night spotting - this way, if you do not wish to be disturbed late at

             night if you work daytime and need your "beauty sleep", I will keep you off the nighttime group

I fully realize that the SkyWarn program is volunteer, but we provide a great service to keep others safe.  Remember, there are others who listen our nets and use that information to keep their communities safe.  I can tell you that I know the media, Can-Warn and St. Clair County (to name a few) listen to our nets and use the information they hear to determine their next course of action.
